Gate: Open Air is a creative community project which takes place in and around Springburn Park, facilitated by artist collective All Eyes Wide. Funded by Sustainable Glasgow as part of Glasgow’s Green Year 2015 and supported by VELOCITY and Shift, Gate: Open Air responds to the questions:
- What is the sound of this city doing to us?
- Why are quiet places valuable and where do we find them?
- What do we really mean by ‘quiet’?
- Is noise always a bad thing – and is it always a sound?
All Eyes Wide offer performance installations across two weekends in May with multiple access points for the local community, including 1:1 interviews with local people and artists, listening workshops, listening walks, community group visits, prototyping and a morning of gathering for the Dawn Chorus in Springburn Park.
Gate is a series of works by All Eyes Wide. Find out about more about it here.
